Speaking of traveling, did anyone go anywhere interesting for break? My family and I went to NYC for my sisters graduation present right after Christmas, although we did not stay for New Years. That was quite an interesting trip! If you ever go, make sure you see at least one broadway, and if you go during winter, go see the Radio City Rockettes. It was an amazing trip, but it was EXTREMELY crowded in New York, so I suggest going anytime of the year but winter. The city itself was incredibly different from ATX, and so were the people, but they were all very nice.
School has just started back up again and already three weeks have gone by, so I think this might be a quick six weeks. I hope all of y'all are enjoying your days back at school and hope you have an awesome semester!

Yeah, I remember when i first got a walkman.... I thought it was SOOO cool! yeah..... Well thats really cool that you got to go to NYC for break, I love it there. I went back home to Mexico and had a really awesome time. yeah this six weeks has already gone by so fast!

I agree that having a computer to use is very important, but I also believe that we, human beings have relied too much on technology for everything and computers do not always contain the most updated and accurate information such as Wikipedia which I suggest none of the students reference from because pretty much anyone can type information on the website. Yes projects and blogs are very important, but if you've been wondering why the penmanship of everyone is just so poor, it's because everyone types their papers now and it's really, truly great if we write our essays once in a while. I haven't seen a person reference from a book in too long and that's just sad. Everyone just wants the shortcut and that's just annoying to me. I just like to see quality. Computers have good intentions and bad intentions. Some people do all their illegal downloading from the internet and those who like to use websites where they can communicate with strangers is just really scary. I find that too insecure because you never know when someone could cyberbully you or when a 45 year old man is posing as a 14 year old boy. It's just very unsafe and talking to strangers can also be motivated by rebellion. Using computers also make others' personalities more introverted because the people playing video games are just too busy to do anything else. I have no idea what the walkman is...so I guess I'm pretty behind. Yes, but the thing about technology is something better always comes out and just when you think you have the coolest and lastest technology, something else comes out. But I must say that iPods are very efficent in memory and since they're so light, it's very convenient to take with you pretty much anywhere!!!! I have always dreamed of going to New York City and Times Square. I just imagine everyone all around me and watching everything past by in the fast-paced city. And I've always wanted to see the Statue of Liberty. That's unusual that you suggest that we not go to New Yor City for winter because isn't that the nicest time to wear heavy coats and boots and be insanely fashionable??? I really enjoy school, but getting back into it has been so stressful, but everyone deal with it.
